Russell Wilson is on the move on Tuesday, overshadowing the mega deal Aaron Rodgers reportedly signed with the Green Bay Packers earlier in the day.
Wilson is set to be traded from the Seattle Seahawks to the Denver Broncos, according to multiple reports. ESPN said the Super Bowl-winning quarterback will need to approve the trade and pass a physical for the deal to be finalized.

The NFL Network reported that multiple first-round draft picks, additional picks and players will be part of the deal. Current Broncos quarterback Drew Lock, tight end Noah Fant and defensive lineman Shelby Harris were reportedly set to be a part of the package as well.
The Seahawks are also set to receive two first-round picks, two second-round picks and a fifth-round pick, according to ESPN. The Broncs are also reportedly receiving a fourth-round pick.
Wilson has been one of the top quarterbacks in the league since he entered the NFL before the start of the 2012 season. In his second season, Wilson and the Seahawks defeated Peyton Manning and the Broncos in Super Bowl XLVIII. Now, Wilson will likely be quarterbacking the team at Mile High.
The Broncos had the perfect reaction to the trade.
AARON RODGERS AGREES TO MASSIVE CONTRACT TO STAY WITH PACKERS: REPORT
The relationship between Wilson and the Seahawks appeared to sour over the last couple of seasons.
He piqued everyone’s interest last offseason with his comments about wanting to be more involved in the Seahawks’ decision-making, especially when it comes to his offensive line. His agent Mark Rodgers told ESPN in February 2021 the Dallas Cowboys, New Orleans Saints, Las Vegas Raiders and Chicago Bears were among the teams Wilson would want to be traded to.
Wilson appeared to indicate ahead of their Week 17 win over the Detroit Lions at home that the season could be his last at Lumen Field as a member of the Seahawks.
"I know for me, I hope it’s not my last game (in Seattle). But at the same time, I know it won’t be my last game in the NFL," he said.
Seattle coach Pete Carroll said last week the team wasn’t open to moving "marquee players," but alas.
"That’s commonplace for us to have conversations with teams about all of the players, particularly marquee players, and that’s not changed. It’s been the same every year we’ve been here so it’s the same as it’s been. We have no intention of making any move there," Carroll said at the NFL Scouting Combine.
Wilson clearly has a lot more in his tank, but his opponents won’t get any easier in the AFC West with Patrick Mahomes, Justin Herbert and likely Derek Carr being in the division for quite some time.
