RFK Jr. ran for President of the United States in the 2024 election as an independent candidate before ending his bid in August 2024 and endorsing Trump.
The former presidential candidate is a vocal supporter of healthy dietary changes and accountability for the agriculture and pharmaceutical industries in an effort that’s come to be called the Make America Healthy Again (MAHA) movement. The initiative’s purpose is to transform public health policy in the U.S. with greater focus on diet and prevention. RFK Jr. has also been critical of some medications including antidepressants, and vaccinations, among other common medical practices.
The Senate confirmed RFK Jr.’s controversial nomination to President Trump’s cabinet in February 2025.
RFK Jr. has also pushed for reforms in the agricultural industry, emphasizing the importance of protecting farms and promoting sustainable practices to support a healthier nation. He is a strong advocate against the use of pesticides, which he says are detrimental to the nutritional value of produce and to the human body.
