Morgan Wallen is the country music sensation behind some of today’s biggest country hits like, "865," "Sand in my Boots," and "Whisky Glasses." Wallen was born on May 13, 1993, in Sneedville, Tennessee to parents Tommy and Lesli Wallen. Wallen grew up singing in church and at a very young age, took piano and violin lessons.
Before Wallen was selling out his own shows, he was performing on the competition singing show, "The Voice." He was on the show in 2014, when he was 20 years old and showcased his voice to the world with the song "Collide" by Howie Day. Wallen’s unique, raspy, intriguing sound got him far on the show. Even though he didn’t win, he still used the platform to catapult the rest of his career.
In 2020, Wallen faced both highs and lows as he welcomed his first child and faced intense scrutiny for using the N-word. In February, a video taken by a neighbor of him saying the N-Word surfaced on social media. Later that year, his son, Indigo Wilder was born in Nashville, Tennessee. Wallen had the baby with his ex-girlfriend, KT Smith.
Wallen’s second album, "Dangerous: The Double Album" came out in 2021 and features "More Than My Hometown," "Sand In My Boots" and "865." This album was the first to spend 10 weeks at the top of the Billboard chart since 1987. It was the best-selling album of 2021 and sold 3 million copies. This album also won the Academy of Country Music Award for Album of the Year as well as Top Country Album at the Billboard Music Awards. Wallen went on tour for this album in 2022. "The Morgan Wallen" concerts lasted 8 months and consisted of 46 stops across the United States. Along with the tour, Wallen sells a variety of merch items that feature lyrics from his big hits.
In 2022, Wallen released the single, "Broadway Girls" with Lil Durk and also is featured in the Ernest song, "Flower Shops."
