Dan Bongino

Dan Bongino is the deputy director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI).

The former Secret Service agent was hired for the post by FBI Director Kash Patel, who was tapped by President Donald Trump to serve during his second term in the Oval Office.

Bongino is a conservative media commentator known for his bold opinions and direct approach. He is a veteran of both the New York Police Department and the United States Secret Service, where he served as a special agent. He served on protective details for both President George W. Bush and President Barack Obama.

Bongino left the Secret Service in 2011 and ran unsuccessfully for the U.S. Senate in Maryland in 2012. He later ran unsuccessfully for U.S. House seats in Maryland and Florida.

Bongino is also a former Fox News host.
