D-Day veterans left the UK for France on Tuesday, June 4, ahead of commemorations that will mark the 80th anniversary of the Normandy landings

The 25 former servicemen making the ferry crossing were given a warm sendoff as the Jedburgh Pipe Band performed Amazing Grace on the deck of the Mont St Michel ferry.
