Live Updates: Hurricane Delta makes landfall as category 2 storm
The storm is expected to make landfall late Friday along Louisiana's southwest coast
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Delta, now a devastating Category 2 storm, made landfall along Louisiana's southwest coast around 6 p.m. CT Friday.
The hurricane had sustained winds of 77 mph with gusts up to 96 mph when it hit Louisiana.
The hurricane is expected to impact some of the same areas that were damaged by Hurricane Laura about six weeks ago.
