The college basketball transfer portal is open for business. Now that a national champion has been determined, it'll become the main focus for just about every team in the nation, too.
Let's take a look at the top players in the portal and transfer moves so far this offseason before the window closes on April 22:
April 23
Cincinnati F Dillon Mitchell to St. John's
After one season at Cincinnati, it's off to St. John's for Mitchell. Last season, the 6-foot-8 forward averaged 9.9 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.4 steals per game. Mitchell spent the first and second seasons of his collegiate career at Texas. He joins a Red Storm team that was a No. 2 seed in last season's NCAA Men's Tournament before losing to Arkansas in the second round.
April 22
Maryland F Julian Reese enters portal
Reese spent the first four seasons of his collegiate career at Maryland, but that's not where he'll finish it, as the forward has entered the portal. Last season, Reese averaged 13.3 points, nine rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game on a Terrapins team that reached the Sweet 16. Reese's exit comes in the wake of head coach Kevin Willard leaving for Villanova.
April 18
St. John's G Simeon Wilcher enters portal
After spending the first two seasons of his collegiate career in Queens, Wilcher has entered the portal. Last season, the 6-foot-4 guard averaged eight points and 1.1 steals per game on a St. John's team that went 31-5, won the Big East regular-season title and conference tournament and claimed a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament before losing to Arkansas in the second round.
April 17
Memphis G PJ Haggerty enters portal
Another big name is in the portal. Haggerty, the reigning AAC Player of the Year, will be looking for his fourth school in four years. He began his career at TCU, where he appeared in six games, before transferring to Tulsa in 2023-24. He led the Golden Hurricane with 21.2 points per game and then moved on to Memphis.
Haggerty's star shone even brighter with the Tigers. This past season, he was the nation's third-leading scorer and was also named a second-team All-American.
Auburn G Chad Baker-Mazara enters portal
Baker-Mazara, a 25-year-old, is still eligible to play in the NCAA for one more season, and it won't be for Auburn. Baker-Mazara started 34 games for the No. 1 ranked Tigers, scoring 12.3 points per game on 44.8% shooting as a senior — he still has eligibility left due to a 2020-2021 COVID-19 waiver, as well as playing one season of basketball at a non-NCAA college. His exit from Auburn means that the entire starting five from the 2024-2025 season has moved on, either through exhausting their college eligibility or, in the case of Baker-Mazara, entering the transfer portal.
Indiana F Mackenzie Mgbako transfers to Texas A&M
Mgbako left Indiana after two seasons in which he averaged exactly 12.2 points per game each year. The 6-foot-9 forward has a lot of potential as a former five-star recruit and co-Big Ten Freshman of the Year in 2023-24. He has more years of eligibility remaining.
April 16
Princeton G Xaivian Lee transfers to Florida
And the rich get richer. In this case, the defending national champions landed the commitment of one of the best guards in the transfer portal. Lee should immediately make an impact in the Gators' backcourt, which is losing Walter Clayton Jr., Alijah Martin and Will Richard. As FOX Sports' John Fanta wrote about Lee, "His feel for the game and ball-handling skills are at a high level." With Princeton last season, Lee averaged 16.9 points and set the single-season program record with 165 assists.
April 15
Mississippi State F KeShawn Murphy transfers to Auburn
Murphy swapped SEC teams from Mississippi State to Auburn on Tuesday. He'll help the Tigers fill the void of losing key frontcourt pieces such as Johni Broome and Chaney Johnson. Murphy averaged 7.6 points across three seasons for the Bulldogs and had career-high marks in ppg (11.7) and rebounds per game (7.4) this past season.
Kansas transfer AJ Storr transfers to Ole Miss
Storr will play for his fourth team in four seasons. He started with St. John's before transferring to Wisconsin and then playing at Kansas this past season. He was one of the highest-rated transfers coming off his sophomore year in Wisconsin, but dropped from 16.8 points per game to 6.1 as his field goal percentage dropped from 43.4% to 38.4%. He simply wasn't a fit in the Jayhawks' offense centered around center Hunter Dickinson. Storr will help the Rebels replace the loss of star guard Sean Pedulla.
April 13
Michigan State G Tre Holloman transfers to North Carolina State
Holloman committed to the Wolfpack for his senior season after three years with the Spartans. He started the first 16 games of this past season, before freshman Jace Richardson took his place. Still, Holloman was a key contributor to Michigan State's Elite Eight run. Even though Richardson declared for the NBA Draft, Holloman decided to go to NC State to help usher in the Will Wade era. Wade took the Wolfpack's head coaching position after two seasons at McNeese and has already constructed a quality backcourt of Holloman, Quadir Copeland, and Alyn Breed through the transfer portal.
Alabama F Jarin Stevenson transfers to North Carolina
After two seasons with the Crimson Tide, Stevenson will go back to his hometown of Chapel Hill and play for the Tar Heels. The 6-foot-11 forward averaged 5.3 points and three rebounds per game in his first two years at Alabama.
April 11
UCLA C Aday Mara transfers to Michigan
After two seasons in L.A., Mara is off to Ann Arbor. Last season, the 7-foot-3 center, who primarily came off the bench for UCLA over the past two seasons, averaged 6.4 points, four rebounds and 1.6 blocks per game on a Bruins team that reached the second round of the NCAA Men's Basketball Tournament. Mara joins a Wolverines team that was a No. 5 seed in the tournament and reached the Sweet 16.
Virginia G Isaac McKneely transfers to Louisville
McKneely will stay in the ACC to wrap up his college career. After leading Virginia in scoring last season, the guard will bring his talents to Pat Kelsey's team. In 2024-25, McKneely ranked first in the conference in 3-point percentage at 42.1%.
April 10
Florida Atlantic F Kaleb Glenn transfers to Michigan State
Glenn has transferred for a second consecutive year, this time going from Boca Raton to East Lansing. Last season, the sophomore forward averaged 12.5 points and 4.8 rebounds per game, while shooting 53.2/40.9/63.1 for Florida Atlantic. Glenn joins a Michigan State team that claimed a No. 2 seed in the NCAA Tournament and reached the Elite Eight before losing to Auburn in said round.
Iowa G Pryce Sandfort transfers to Nebraska
The first-ever College Basketball Crown champions are getting a boost from a rival. Sandfort, who shot 40 percent from 3-point range in his sophomore season at Iowa, is moving on to Nebraska. The 6-foot-7 wing has two more years of eligibility left.
April 9
Creighton G Pop Isaacs transfers to Houston
Isaacs is moving back to Texas. The 6-foot-3 guard, who played his first two seasons at Texas Tech, will join the national runners-up. Isaacs' junior season ended after just eight games due to a hip injury. In his last game with Creighton in December, he scored 27 points in a win over Kansas.
April 8
Arizona State C Jayden Quaintance transfers to Kentucky
Quaintance, a five-star recruit in the Class of 2024, is widely viewed as a top prospect for the 2026 NBA Draft. The 17-year-old underwent ACL surgery in March after being named first-team All-Defense as a freshman.
April 7
Alabama F Mouhamed Dioubate transfers to Kentucky
A role player for Nate Oats' squad this past season, Dioubate entered the portal with two years of eligibility remaining. He was a four-star prospect as a recruit in the Class of 2023.
North Carolina G Ian Jackson enters portal
Jackson entered the portal after being named ACC first-team All-Freshman in 2024-24. With three years of eligibility remaining, Jackson has a high pedigree. He was a five-star prospect and ranked as the eighth-best recruit in the Class of 2024 by 247 Sports.
Notre Dame F Tae Davis transfers to Oklahoma
Davis, a 6-foot-9 forward, has decided to commit to Oklahoma while also going through the draft process. As a junior, he put up 15.1 points and 5.3 rebounds per game, both of which ranked second on his team. He has one more year of eligibility remaining.
UCLA guard Sebastian Mack transfers to Missouri
Mack is moving on to Missouri. Across his two seasons with the Bruins, Mack averaged 10.8 points and 1.1 steals per game, while shooting 40.4/29.6/73.4. He earned Pac-12 All-Freshman honors last year.

The 6-foot-2 guard brings experience to the Horned Frogs in his final year of eligibility. He started 63 games in his three seasons with the Friars. Last season, Pierre averaged a career-high 12.3 points and a team-high 3.2 assists per game.
April 5
Iowa F Owen Freeman transfers to Creighton

East Tennessee State G Quimari Peterson transfers to Washington
Peterson will use his final year of eligibility to play in the Big Ten. The sharp-shooting point guard, who led the Southern Conference in scoring, steals and 3-point shooting, started his career at John A. Logan College before spending the next two years at ETSU. He was named the 2024-25 Southern Conference Player of the Year. The Huskies went 13-18 this past season.
April 4
Arizona C Henri Veesaar transfers to North Carolina
Veesaar was key to the Wildcats' Sweet 16 run as he provided an efficient source of offense off the bench. He shot 59.2% on 5.9 field goal attempts per game.
Michigan State F Xavier Booker transfers to UCLA
Booker struggled to find the court on a deep Spartans team, but he should have a role for the Bruins, who just lost Aday Mara.
Purdue F Camden Heide transfers to Texas
Heide played limited minutes in his two seasons at Purdue, but was crucial as a floor-spacer hitting 41.2% of his 3-point shots. He went 6-of-11 from deep in the Boilermakers' three NCAA Tournament games. He now brings that shooting touch to a Texas team that lacked big wings with an ability to shoot off the catch.
Georgia Tech G Naithan George transfers to Syracuse
After two years with the Yellow Jackets, George will be rocking the Orange next season. This season, the sophomore guard averaged 12.3 points, an ACC-high 6.5 assists and 1.1 steals per game. He joins a Syracuse team that went 14-19 overall last season.

Donaldson had a quality junior campaign, averaging 11.6 points and 4.2 assists per game, in a complementary role to Wolverines' stars Vladislav Goldin and Danny Wolf. The Hurricanes are coming off their lowest-winning season since 1994, but have now added Malik Reneau and Donaldson in consecutive days as they try to author a turnaround.
UCLA G Dylan Andrews transfers to Boise State
Andrews will finish out his college career with the Broncos after playing three seasons with the Bruins. He had a down year in 2024-25, averaging under 7.1 points per game after being at 13 in the season prior. He's a high-IQ point-guard who will impact the game immediately for Boise State.

Xavier G Ryan Conwell transfers to Louisville
Conwell will play for his fourth school in four seasons after announcing his decision to transfer from Xavier to Louisville for his senior year. The senior is coming off a 2024-25 season in which he played just three games after hurting his knee on Dec. 10. On top of that, he tore his ACL on Jan. 3, 2024, and missed the rest of that season, so he's appeared in just 17 games over the past two seasons.
