2024 Heisman Watch: Cam Ward tops leaderboard, Shedeur Sanders enters the mix

Week 10 of the college football season featured several standout performances, highlighted by Cam Ward's 400-yard, five-touchdown showing in Miami's impressive comeback win over Duke.

Ole Mis QB Jaxson Dart also had himself a day in a record-setting performance against Arkansas, and Oregon's Dillon Gabriel put together a solid outing in the Ducks' win over Michigan.

While Dart saw his Heisman stock skyrocket on Saturday, Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty saw his odds slip despite his eighth straight 100-yard rushing game.

Here is a look at the current Heisman Trophy odds following a jam-packed Week 10:

Cam Ward, QB, Miami (Fla.): +200

Take a bow, Cam Ward!

Miami's do-it-all QB threw for 400 yards and five touchdowns to lead the Hurricanes to a comeback win over Duke. Ward has now thrown 29 touchdown passes this season, which ties Steve Walsh's program record set in 1988. This marked his third game with 400 or more passing yards this season, and his fourth game with four or more passing scores. Ward also moved into the No. 5 spot on the NCAA all-time passing list.

Next: Ward and the Hurricanes take on Georgia Tech on Nov. 9.

Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado: +220

Hunter and the Buffaloes had a bye this weekend after the team's impressive 34-23 win over Cincinnati last week. The Buffs' two-way star was electric in Colorado's win, hauling in a team-high nine catches for 153 yards and two touchdowns. He also starred on the defensive side of the ball, playing in all but three snaps in the game.

Next: Hunter and the Buffaloes travel to Texas Tech to play the Red Raiders on Nov. 9.

Dillon Gabriel, QB, Oregon: +290

Another week, another win for Oregon, and another great game for Gabriel. The Ducks' senior signal-caller dissected the Wolverines' defense to the tune of 294 yards and a touchdown. Gabriel also added 23 yards and a score on the ground as Oregon improved to 9-0 on the season for the first time since 2012.

Next: Gabriel and the Ducks battle Maryland on Nov. 9.

Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State: +500

After a slow start, Jeanty rushed for 112 of his game-high 149 yards in the third quarter as Boise State cruised to a 56-24 win over San Diego State on Friday night. Jeanty added two touchdowns as the Broncos won their sixth straight, improving to 7-1 on the season. Jeanty has now topped the 100-yard rushing mark in eight straight games, breaking the program record set by Jay Ajayi back in 2014.

Jaxson Dart, QB, Ole Miss: +1600

Move over, Eli Manning.

Dart was on fire Saturday in Ole Miss' dominant 63-31 win over Arkansas. The senior signal-caller set program records for passing yards and touchdowns in a single game, leapfrogging Manning and Matt Corral in the process. Dart finished 25-of-31 for 515 yards and six touchdowns in the victory. 

Next: Dart and the Rebels host Georgia on Nov. 9.

Kurtis Rourke, QB, Indiana: +2200

Keep doubting Rourke and the Hoosiers at your own risk. All this team does is win football games, and their senior quarterback is a big reason why. Rourke was exceptional again on Saturday, completing 19 of 29 passes for 263 yards and four touchdowns in a dominant 47-10 win over Michigan State. In eight games, Rourke has thrown for 2,204 yards and 19 touchdowns while leading the Hoosiers to their first 9-0 start in program history.

Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado: +3500

Sanders shot up the Heisman leaderboard following another impressive showing in Week 9. The talented QB completed 25 of 30 passes for 323 yards and two touchdowns, while also adding a score on the ground in the Buffs' win over Cincinnati. Sanders is completing 73% of his passes for 2,591 yards and 21 touchdowns through eight games this season.
