Gordon Ramsay's new show has a naughty name

Gordon Ramsay is dropping another F bomb-- but it might not be what you think.

The award-winning chef and host of “Hell’s Kitchen,” known for his harsh kitchen critiques and frequent use of colorful language, will have a new variety show called “The F Word” based off his hit U.K. series with the same name. Not to worry, parents-- this “F” is all about fun, food and families this summer.

WHY GORDON RAMSAY IS BLASTING RANDOM PEOPLE ON SOCIAL MEDIA

“Gordon Ramsay is not only one of the biggest names in the culinary world, but his expertise, combined with his larger-than-life personality, also make for genuine event television,” said David Madden, president of Fox Entertainment said on the show’s website.

Madden continues, "Let’s face it, with Gordon live on television, the phrase ‘anything can happen’ takes on a whole new meaning.”

The series features fast-paced, live, one-hour episodes in which families across the U.S. will battle in an intense cook-off, while vying to impress Ramsay. The contestants, grouped in teams of four, must also impress other diners along the way, celebrities and surprise VIP guests who they will be serving during the competition.

“We’re really ramping it up a notch with this new live cooking show each week, and I can’t wait for viewers to see the other surprises we have in store for each episode,” said Ramsay.

In February, the celebrity chef released a digital cooking experience, “MasterClass,” which allows cooks at home to work alongside the chef to learn everything from basic chef techniques to expert plating skills.

“The F Word” premieres May 31 on Fox.
