"Who’s the Boss" was a sitcom which ran from 1984-1992 on ABC.
The show centered on Tony Micelli (Tony Danza), a widower and former baseball player who becomes a live-in maid for Angela Bower (Judith Light), a divorced, career-driven working-mom.

Tony Micelli is a widower who goes from being a professional baseball player to a house-keeper. Before the show, Danza was best known for his role as cab-driver and part-time boxer Tony Banta on the show "Taxi."

After the show Tony made guest appearances on TV shows and appeared in several TV movies. In 2004, he hosted the “Tony Danza Show” which was cancelled after 2 seasons. After that he made the move to Broadway, starring in "The Producers" as Max Bialystock from 2006-2007. In 2010 he starred in a new reality series called "Teach," in which he co-taught a 10th Grade English class.
In 2012 he released the book:<i> I'd Like to Apologize to Every Teacher I Ever Had: My Year as a Rookie Teacher at Northeast High</i>, which was based on his year of teaching.

<b>Alyssa Milano as Samantha Micelli</b>
Alyssa Milano grew up before our eyes as Tony’s daughter Samantha. Before landing the role, she had previously appeared in commercials and off-Broadway plays.

After the show, Alyssa tried to shed her good-girl image by taking on more risqué roles. In 1997 she joined the cast of "Melrose Place." Her career was officially back in full swing from 1998-2006 when she starred on the hit show "Charmed." She then got a recurring role on the show “My Name is Earl” from 2007-2008.
She currently stars on the show "Mistresses" on ABC.

Judith Light made her television debut on the soap opera "One Life to Live" before landing the role of driven, overworked ad-exec Angela Bower on the show.

Judith found continued success on TV after the show. She has starred in several TV movies and has had noteworthy recurring roles on "Law And Order: SVU" and "Ugly Betty."
In 2012 she won a Tony Award for her role as Silda in the Broadway play, "Other Desert Cities."

Katherine played the ditzy matriarch on "Soap" (1977-1981), before landing the role of Angela’s feisty, sexually-charged mother.

The actress, born in 1929, has worked steadily in the TV realm after the show ended. She had a recurring role on "Everybody Loves Raymond," playing as Lois Whelan from 1998-2002. She occasionally does voice-work but mostly seems to have retired from acting.

Jonathan grew up before our eyes and was only 7 years old when he took on the role of Jonathan, Angela’s shy and geeky son.

Danny took some time off from acting after the show ended to go back to school, graduating from Stanford University in 2001. He continues to perform in small plays and his most recent role was in the small film “The Still Life” in 2007.
