Sublime bassist recovering from major injuries after ATV accident

Sublime bassist Eric Wilson is on the mend after an ATV crash at his California avocado ranch.
Wilson, 49, suffered a broken arm and four broken ribs on Thursday after the vehicle overturned and landed on top of him, according to TMZ.
Wilson was driving.

The band’s manager confirmed to the outlet on Saturday that medical care immediately arrived at the scene near San Diego, and the musician was taken to the hospital and underwent a nearly five-hour surgery.
He remains hospitalized, but is expected to be released at the beginning of next week.

Sublime achieved worldwide fame with their 1996 self-titled album, which followed the death of singer Bradley Nowell of a heroin overdose. The record included hits like “Santeria” and “What I Got.”

Wilson went on to perform with the Long Beach Dub All-Stars until 2002 and is now in the avocado business, working on his 20-acre ranch.
