If you're buying tickets to a Sinead O'Connor concert to hear her sing her hit "Nothing Compares 2 U," don't bother.
The controversial Irish songstress announced on her Facebook page that the popular tune has been banished from her set list.
"After twenty-five years of singing it, nine months or so ago I finally ran out of anything I could use in order to bring some emotion to it," she wrote. "I don't want audiences to be disappointed coming along to a show and then not hearing it, so am letting you know here that you won't."

O'Connor said her formal training requires her to bring real emotion to a song if it is to be sung at all.
"If I were to sing it just to please people, I wouldn't be doing my job right, because my job is to be emotionally available," she continued. "I'd be lying. You'd be getting a lie. My job is to give you honesty. I'm trained in honesty. I can't act. It just isn't in my training. I have ceased singing other songs over the years for the same reason."
Of course none of her other songs is the tune to which she she is inextricably linked. "Nothing Compares 2 U," written by Prince, spent four weeks in the #1 slot on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1990, and O'Connor's music video for it is one of the best known music videos of all time.
