Screen Legend Elizabeth Taylor: 1932-2011

<b>Elizabeth Taylor 1932-2011</b> On Friday, Feb. 11, 79-year-old Taylor was hospitalized for congestive heart failure, an "ongoing health problem," according to her spokesperson. <b>Third Marriage</b> Feb. 2, 1957: Elizabeth Taylor married Michael Todd (born Avrom Hirsch Goldbogen), an Academy Award-winning film producer.  A year later, he died in a plane crash. He was 50. Taylor and Todd had one daughter, Elizabeth Frances Todd, called "Liza." (AP)

<b>Fifth Husband</b> In March of 1964, Taylor married Welsh actor Richard Burton.  They were divorced ten years later (and then remarried).  Earlier that year, Taylor began adoption proceedings for daughter Maria with then-husband Eddie Fisher. But once Fisher was out of the picture, Burton adopted the girl instead. Burton was nominated seven times for an Academy Award (no wins) and was once the highest paid actor in Hollywood. (AP)

<b>Richard Burton... Again</b> Richard had two go-rounds with Taylor, but their second union lasted barely a year. During that time, she was also linked to Iranian Ambassador Ardeshir Zahedi. (AP)

<b>Taylor Marries Again</b> Liz married Larry Fortensky, a former construction worker, with whom she is seen here in October of 1991. The pair tied the knot at Michael Jackson's Neverland Ranch and divorced five years later in 1996. In 1998, Larry was jailed for assaulting his girlfriend. <b>Another Wedding?</b> April 2010: <a target="_hplink" href="http://www.usmagazine.com/celebritynews/news/source-elizabeth-taylor-to-wed-for-ninth-time-201094">Us Weekly </a>reported that Elizabeth Taylor was engaged to be married for the ninth time to Jason Winters, 49, of Sterling Winters Management.  Taylor, however, was quick to poo-poo the news as little more than an erroneous report.
