An Ohio meteorologist blasted fans of "The Bachelorette" during a live segment on Monday after viewers complained on social media that news coverage of dangerous tornadoes in the state had interrupted the reality dating show's broadcast.
Jamie Simpson was reporting on tornado warnings on Facebook Live and WKEF-TV in Dayton around 9:30 p.m. Viewers watching "The Bachelorette" soon vented about the interruptions on the station's Facebook page.
“No reason to take over regular programming. You can pop on and off with updates SMH," one commenter wrote.
“Viewers are complaining already, ‘Just go back to the show.’ No. We’re not going back to the show, folks,” Simpson said on air. “This is a dangerous situation, OK? Think about if it was your neighborhood."
"I’m sick and tired of people complaining about this," Simpson said. "Our job here is to keep people safe, and that’s what we’re going to do. Some of you complain that it’s all about my ego — stop. Ok, just stop right now. It’s not. I’m done with you people. I really am. This is pathetic.”

Hannah Brown, the star of Season 15 of "The Bachelorette," chimed in on the matter, saying that "naders" -- short for tornadoes -- "are no joke."
"Lolz too funny, thanks Dayton, Ohio for the love, but be safe. naders are no joke," she tweeted.
Simpson immediately apologized for his outburst, before accusing some of not caring about the safety of those in the path of the tornadoes that have ravaged parts of the state: “It just really bothers me that we have people that don’t care about other people’s safety around here. That’s just ridiculous.”
