'80s TV icons Steve Guttenberg and Fred Savage return to TV in special 'Goldbergs' episode

The 1980s are making a comeback on the ABC sitcom "The Goldbergs."
Steve Guttenberg and Fred Savage were recruited by showrunner Adam F. Goldberg, a self-proclaimed admirer of their work for years, to appear on the show. Guttenberg is playing a high school teacher, Dr. Katman, and Savage is directing the episode, titled "The Beverly Goldberg Cookbook."
“I’ve always been a huge fan and admirer of Steve Guttenberg,” said Goldberg. “His acting roles define my childhood from "Cocoon" to "Short Circuit to the Police Academy.”

The episode airs on Wednesday, March 13 at 8 p.m.on ABC.
