Celebrities react to Donald Trump's address to the nation about the southern border
{{#rendered}} {{/rendered}}Donald Trump held his first Oval Office address on Tuesday night where he spoke to the nation directly about what’s happening at the southern border. However, some of his biggest critics in the entertainment industry were quick to take to social media to share their critics of the president’s address.
After some debate about whether or not major networks would interrupt their programming to broadcast President Trump’s speech, he was given time to talk about the conflict between his administration and Democrats over funding for border security.

It didn’t take long for some of Hollywood’s most outspoken Trump critics took to social media to share their thoughts on the address, with many decrying the president’s words as lies and inflated statistics. Others simply seized the opportunity to roast him.
Kathy Griffin was among the first to make a statement on Twitter posting a leaked transcript of a conversation between Donald Trump and Enrique Pena Nieto about Mexico paying for the wall.

“As Trump spouts off with his BS...a reminder of when he had this conversation about the wall with the then President of Mexico. We know what was said thanks to leaked transcripts published in the Washington Post,” she wrote.
"Trump, live now, railing against immigrants while sitting beside the photo of his immigrant mother. Shame," Michael Moore critiqued.

"I thought Trump said Mexico was going to pay for the wall/fence?" questioned former White House staffer Omarosa Manigult-Newman.
"The President seems terrified," wrote Mia Farrow.
