Anna Faris and her husband, "Guardians of the Galaxy" star Chris Pratt, can get through just about anything together.

The 38-year-old "Mom" star is opening up about her difficult child birth with her now two-year-old son Jack to "Redbook" magazine, who the couple welcomed in August 2012.

Jack actually came out almost two months early, and Faris gets candid about the scary experience.

"My water broke in the middle of the night at seven months," she explains. "We rushed to the hospital, and they were able to halt active labor with magnesium. I was at the hospital and the goal was to be in bed for four weeks … but on the seventh day, I went into labor again."

"I was in denial," she admits. "For hours I was like, 'I'm just having indigestion.' Chris and I were so scared, but then Jack came out, even though he was so tiny, he looked so good to us."

The experience definitely strengthened her relationship with her husband.

"It’s one of those things that drives you apart or makes you closer," she explains. "I think that being a father is very meaningful and rewarding to Chris. He's a great dad. He’s a little more serious than he was before. It forces your hand. You really have to become an adult."

Thankfully Jack is healthy now, though she told ET Canada last month that her son is having eye surgery. At the time of Jack's birth, the doctors told the couple that he may need cosmetic surgery to correct his eyes, and that he might have special needs. The initial news was "devastating," she told GQ in the outtakes of Pratt's December Man of the Year interview, but they knew they could face the challenges ahead. "[I]t also felt like, you know, 'We can do this,'" she said.

Faris and Pratt, who met on the set of "Take Me Home Tonight" in 2007 and married in July 2009, are now clearly closer than ever. The funnygirl even suffered through his amazing 65-pound weight loss to get in shape for his "Guardians of the Galaxy" role.

"I just remember being grumpy because there was no food in the house," she recalls. "I love to cook really fattening things like steak and pasta and potatoes. I bake banana bread. But it's okay. I love Chris ripped and I love him a little rounder, too."
